Consultation Terms

Last updated: 11 August 2026

These terms apply to paid UKShuke consultations supplied by Sumit Singh trading as UKShuke. Please read them before making payment.

1. Trader details

Supplier: Sumit Singh trading as UKShuke

Address: 28 Neville Close, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL3 5FE

Email: [email protected]

2. The service

A consultation is a 30-minute conversation by Zoom or telephone, as agreed in writing. It provides general, practical and lived-experience guidance about subjects such as settling into UK life, work or student culture, and UK-India travel planning.

The service is intended for customers aged 18 or over. If the person receiving the service is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must make the booking and attend.

3. Important service boundary

UKShuke is not regulated to provide immigration or legal advice. The consultation will not assess visa eligibility, recommend an immigration route, prepare or review an application, interpret an individual’s legal position or provide legal strategy. Questions requiring regulated advice will be declined and may be referred to an IAA-regulated adviser or approved legal professional.

4. Price and payment

The total price is £25 for one 30-minute consultation. Payment is made by bank transfer using the instructions supplied privately by UKShuke. No additional charge will be made unless you expressly agree to a separate service in writing.

Your enquiry is not a booking and does not create a contract. A contract is formed when UKShuke receives payment and sends written booking confirmation. The confirmation will state the agreed date, time, timezone and delivery method.

5. Appointment arrangements

You must provide accurate contact details and be available at the agreed time. Zoom access details or telephone arrangements will be provided before the appointment. You are responsible for a suitable device, internet or telephone connection and a private environment.

If you arrive late, the consultation will normally end at the original finishing time. If UKShuke is late, you will receive the full 30 minutes or be offered a free reschedule.

6. Contractual cancellation and rescheduling policy

If you give at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time, you may reschedule once without charge or cancel for a full refund.

If you give less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend, UKShuke may retain up to the full fee to reflect the time reserved and the resulting loss, except where your statutory rights require a refund or a different outcome.

If UKShuke cancels, you may choose a free reschedule or a full refund.

7. Statutory 14-day cancellation right

If you are a consumer booking at a distance, you normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is formed to cancel without giving a reason.

If you ask for the consultation to take place during that 14-day period, UKShuke will obtain your express request for the service to begin early. If the consultation is fully performed during the cancellation period, you acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel ends once the service has been fully performed. If you cancel after service has begun but before it is complete, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to cancellation.

The 24-hour policy does not remove or reduce any statutory right that applies to you.

8. How to cancel

Email [email protected] with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to. A cancellation is effective when it is sent. Refunds due will normally be made by bank transfer within 14 days after UKShuke is informed of the cancellation, using reasonable verification to return funds safely.

9. Technical problems

If a material technical problem prevents the consultation and cannot be resolved promptly, UKShuke will offer a free reschedule. If a reasonable alternative cannot be agreed, the fee will be refunded. Brief interruptions that do not materially reduce the service may be handled by extending the call where practical.

10. Conduct, confidentiality and recording

Both parties must communicate respectfully. UKShuke may end a consultation for abusive, threatening, discriminatory or unlawful conduct. Information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy, but the consultation is not legally privileged. Neither party may record the consultation without the other’s prior written agreement.

11. Reasonable care and outcomes

UKShuke will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Guidance is based on general information and lived experience. No particular outcome is promised, including employment, sponsorship, admission, visa approval, travel arrangements, savings or earnings.

12. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights. UKShuke is not responsible for decisions or losses arising from use of the consultation as a substitute for regulated, legal, financial or other professional advice.

13. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied, email [email protected] with the booking date and a clear description of the issue. UKShuke will aim to acknowledge the complaint within five working days and provide a substantive response within 14 working days where reasonably possible.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law that applies to you.

Model Cancellation Form

Complete and send this only if you wish to cancel. You may instead send any clear cancellation statement.
